DAV 5K
The DAV 5K Walk, Roll, Run or Ride to Honor America’s Veterans will happen in-person Saturday, Nov. 6, and around the U.S. through virtual challenges to allow people to join in from their neighborhood. Visit DAV5K.org for information about how to register for the race or volunteer.
Supporting DAV
Since 2001, Golden Corral has supported veterans and DAV with the first national military appreciation meal. DAV members have accepted donations and provided literature about services to veterans at restaurants around the nation. Nearly six million free meals have been served to veterans. More than $17 million has been raised to support state and local service programs.
Golden Corral: Veterans and active-duty military members will receive a free “thank you” meal from 5 p.m. to close on Nov. 11 for Military Appreciation Night. Identification is not required to participate.
EG America: Veterans and active-duty service members will receive a free cup of coffee at EG Retail stores on Veterans Day, November 11. Participating stores include Cumberland Farms, Certified Oil, Fastrac, Kwik Shop, Loaf ‘N Jug, Minit Mart, Quik Stop, Tom Thumb and Turkey Hill. EG America and its 1,700 convenience stores will kick off a national campaign throughout the month of November to support and raise money for DAV.
California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active military members can enjoy a complimentary entree and beverage at all participating CPK locations nationwide. CPK will also be partnering with DAV to host a nationwide fundraiser in its restaurants from November 8 to 10 to support veterans and their families.

Bob Evans: All veterans and active-duty military will be offered a free menu of seven home style favorite meals on Nov. 11. Dine-in only. Must show proof of military service.
California Dreaming: Veterans and active-duty members are eligible to 50% off the cost of an entrée from the full menu on Nov. 11.
Carolina Roadhouse: Entrees are 50% off for veterans and active-duty military members.
Chili’s Grill & Bar: Veterans and active-duty military will have a choice of one of seven free meals to choose from on Veterans Day. Dine-in only.
Chophouse ’47: Any U.S. veteran or active-duty member will receive a free entrée from the full menu for half price. Participants must have a valid military I.D. or be in uniform.
Chophouse New Orleans: Entrees are 50% off for veterans and active-duty military members.
Dunkin’ Donuts: Active-duty military and veterans receive a free donut at participating locations on Nov. 11.
Gulfstream Café: Entrees are 50% off for veterans and active-duty military members.
IHOP: Free red, white and blue pancakes will be served until 7 p.m. on Nov. 11.
Joey D’s Oak Room: Entrees are 50% off for veterans and active-duty military members.
McCormick & Schmick’s: On Sunday, Nov. 7, a selection from a half price meal menu will be offered to all U.S. military veterans, National Guard, and Gold Star parents and spouses.
New York Prime: Entrees are 50% off for veterans and active-duty military members.
Olive Garden: Active-duty military and veterans with proof of service will receive their choice a free select entrée on Nov. 11.
Red Lobster: A free appetizer or dessert will be offered to veterans and active duty or reserve military members on Nov. 11. You need to show a valid military ID or proof of service.
Red Robin: A free Red’s Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries will be served to veterans and active-duty military members who register with Red Robin Royalty by Nov. 1. The meals will be redeemable from Monday, Nov. 1 to Sunday, Nov. 14.
Shoney’s: Veterans and active duty military will receive a free all you can eat breakfast bar on Nov. 11.
Tap House Grill: Veterans and active military members receive a free meal on Veterans Day (Chicago area).
Yard House: Veterans and active-duty military members get a complimentary appetizer on Veteran’s Day.

B&B for Vets freebies: Bed and breakfasts around the U.S. are offering specific Veterans Day free lodging deals through the website bandbvets.org. Check for availability and specific dates for 2021.
Bed Bath and Beyond: A 25% discount for active-duty members, veterans and their spouses is active through Nov. 11. Valid for in-store purchases.
Dollar General: Veterans, active duty military and their families will save 20 percent on purchases from Nov. 11 to Nov. 14.
Great Clips: Veterans and current military members will receive a free haircut at salons on Nov. 11. Veterans Day customers who did not serve can get a free haircut card they can give to someone on active duty or a veteran to receive. The free cards will be redeemable through Dec. 10.
Hy-Vee: A free breakfast buffet is offered to all veterans and active-duty military members at the stores.
Kroger: The grocery chain is offering up to 50% off with special coupons and discounts for Veterans Day. Please visit their website for all details.
LaQuinta by Windham: Current or retired U.S. military members are eligible for 12% off the Best Available Rate at participating hotels in the U.S for national Veterans and Military Families Month. Reservations and hotel stays must happen between Oct. 26 and Dec. 12.

Publix: Veterans and active-duty military receive a 10% discount on groceries on Nov. 11. See their website for details.
Rack Room Shoes: Veterans and active-duty military are eligible for a 20% Veterans Day discount for in-person sales on Nov. 11 with a valid military ID. The stores offer a 10% discount with ID year-round.
Target: Service members, veterans and dependents can verify their status online and receive 10% off two storewide purchases through Nov. 13.
National Park Service: There is no admission to National Park Service sites on Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day. Disabled veterans and Gold Star families are eligible for a free entrance to National Parks year round.
Sleep Number: Veterans and active duty military members will receive 20 percent off through Nov. 22 on bedding and bedding, upholstered furniture and a trademarked adjustable base.
Sport Clips: Participating stores will provide free haircuts to veterans on Nov. 11.
